About Us
Middle Assembly Canada brings together Reformed congregations across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. [Draft: number of congregations to be confirmed.]
We are part of the historic church of Jesus Christ and under his leadership; we recognize the Bible as God's holy, inspired Word; we are empowered by the Holy Spirit; and we are eager to discover new (and old) ways to please God.
Our Mission
Our call is to join with the Spirit, and all our partners, in mobilizing people and churches for mission in our unique Canadian context. For the glory of God and the sake of the world.
Our Beliefs
We believe in the historic Christian faith as confessed by believers through the ages. We accept the three universal creeds of the early church: the Apostles' Creed, the Athanasian Creed and the Nicene Creed.
Four confessional statements set forth our faith: the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, the Canons of Dort and the Confession of Belhar. Our Song of Hope is a contemporary statement of faith. [Draft: confirm statements under MAC.]
What We Do
- Equip local churches to discern and live out their purpose and vision.
- Provide pastoral care and resources to pastors.
- Represent our churches in denominational and ecumenical bodies.
- Advise and support church multiplication.
- Fund churches, pastors and mission through the Mobilizing for Mission Fund.
- Administer benefit plans for pastors and church staff.
- Promote mission opportunities and engage in justice matters.
- Prepare the next generation to embrace God's call on their lives.

Our Story
